Iris scanning sounds like a procedure from a science fiction movie.
But it’s real, and it’s coming to a school near you.
From elementary schools to colleges, iris scanning is replacing student ID cards as a security and identification method. This summer, according to CNN, Winthrop University in South Carolina is testing out iris scanning technology during freshman orientation.
