Sacramento City Unified Votes to Close Seven Elementary Schools

After a long and intense meeting that started Thursday evening and stretched into early Friday morning, the Sacramento City Unified School District Board of Trustees voted to close seven elementary schools.
Washington, C.P. Huntington, Mark Hopkins, C.B. Wire, Fruit Ridge, Joseph Bonnheim and Maple elementary schools will close.
The meeting originally slated to discuss the closure of 10 schools, but district Superintendent Jonathan Raymond removed three from the list: Susan
