CALL FOR AUDIO ENTRIES!
Calling all journalists, poets, rappers, writers, actors and activists!
Our audio contest is in full swing, but we still need to hear from YOU! So, we are extending our deadline and accepting submissions through the end of the year. Take advantage of holiday breaks and lend your voice to our campaign for youth violence prevention.
Silence is not the answer. Puget SoundOff and Tabu are inviting you to raise your voice and share your story about youth violence. Interview your friends or neighbors, recite a poem or create a song to express yourself and raise awareness about the issue. You can cover gang violence, cyberbullying, LGBTQ discrimination, dating violence, race riots or any instance of violence that affects young people across the country. Use your creativity to send a message about an issue that affects us all.
The contest will be judged by a panel of youth, youth media educators and radio jounalists. Winners will receive local and national publicity, and will be awarded grants to continue their advocacy work against teen violence.
