Sacramento Area Black Caucus SCUSD African American Student Leadership Conference

Greetings Potential Presenters: SCUSD African American Student Leadership Conference committee invites you to submit an application, detailing your proposed 50 minute workshop, which demonstrates knowledge and the ability to engage and educate African American students in the following areas:



1. Wake Up! (Education, employment, and personal goals)

2. Transformation (Cultural/Self-identity, mentality change)

3. Unplugged (Health and Healthy lifestyles)

4. THINK! Student Rights! (Youth empowerment, youth voice/rights)



The SCUSD African American Student Leadership Conference will be held on March 25th, 2011 @ California State University, Sacramento.



Please submit to (click the link) AASLC Call for Presenters by February 24th, 2011. We will make final selections for presenters on March 4th, 2011.

A record number of Illinois high school seniors tookcollege-level courses last year, but the percentage who passed the exams remained divided along racial lines, a report released Wednesday found. South suburban Homewood-Flossmoor High School led the nation in the number of African-American students who earned at least a 3 on the AP psychology exam.
